Staying at Oxford

The Sage Travel 202 Universities tours returns to Oxford for the first time in 4 years. The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university in Oxford, England. There is evidence of teaching as early as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world’s second-oldest university in continuous operation after the University of Bologna. (Wikipedia). Breakfast is served in the Great Hall where once King Charles the 1st held court during the English civil war, Oh and where Harry Potter also had his breakfast!

  1. This year will be the eighth Sage UK University Tour I have been on. They are well worth the money (No I am not an employee of Sage Travel). We are looked after well around the tour.
With respect to Charles I in Oxford, remember he lost his head after robbing the general masses. Your task will be to see how the Great Hall marries with Harry Potter. Also this year Sage are not using Oxford accommodation designed to bury the English upper class, so I have heard.
Why do I go? Bookshops. Bookshops serving those with an IQ greater than room temperature. Oxford, London, Cambridge, Edinburgh — lovely. It is nice to also talk to the English.
University accommodation all: Christ Church college – Oxford; Imperial College – London, South Kensington; Edinburgh University – Edinburgh; St Catherine College – Cambridge. Now where did J. Rowling stay in Exeter? How do the students find time to study?
I am in Perth so I fly to London several days ahead of the group’s arrival. I have my flight tickets.
